Guity Novin's Art in the Garden Show - May 2010

First day of exhibition; rainy and cold

This year's Art in the Garden Tour in the city of North Vancouver was held on the weekend of May 29th - May 30th. Although the first day of the show was rainy and cold, quite a number of viewers braved the elements and attended the exhibition. Here are some photos from the two days of Guity Novin's exhibitions in her garden.

Viewers buying tickets for the show. The proceeds go towards the art programs of North Vancouver - something that with the recent budget cut is of tremendous importance.

Because of the rain, most of the paintings had to be moved into the carport,

You can see the rain droplets. Some viewers came prepared with umbrellas, but many seemed comfortable with the weather.

The warm and soothing voice of Rose Ranger in that rainy day created a memorable ambiance.

The second day, warm and pleasant

The following day, the skies provided us with better weather. So we were able to put the paintings in the garden.

I love to see the paintings peaking through the garden's leaves - some of the viewers made the same remark.

The Canadian westcoast music duo 'Soft Focus' played many of the beautiful songs from the 50s and 60s. As you can see some of my musicians accompanied them silently!
